The Kills / Midnight Boom [2008]

This band reminds me of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Ok, they are not so funky and what they do sounds more like rock and roll. But still, they share some resemblances. Perhaps it’s the female vocalist and these loud bass lines. There’s some evident electronic influence on their music too and most of the songs contained in this album will be successful on the dance floor. Midnight Boom is the perfect album to cheer someone up; some of their songs seem to be made just to make you want to dance when you get in a club. Check out their nice videos. - Grey
