If I were Josh Schwartz I would think I have found background music for three or four episodes of some teenage show about love and loss. These United States are a music collective based on Washington DC with more than 300 shows across the U.S. and Europe in the last two years and A Picture of the Three of Us at the Gate to the Garden of Eden is their new album. There's not much I can say about the sound of this, but I can tell you this: here we have the perfect example of how the whole psych-folk movement is getting bigger and bigger, the twelve tracks on the record are filled with obligatory references to people like Devendra Banhart or Conor Oberst.
