It contains everything a good mixtape should include: new banging anthems, original freestyles over classic beats (Jay-Z, Kanye West, Dr. Dre…) and a fresh sound that makes you look forward to the next album (November 2008). Pitchfork and all those internet hipsters should recognize Lil Wayne’s mixtapes from last year are a hundred years behind this. If your hipster attitude makes you want to love some gangsta rapper, at least choose the best suppliers. This is nothing new, but it still sounds fresh. The best cocaine rap since Ghost and Rae.
