Holy shit, I thought these fellows weren't recording music anymore. Having listened to their music since childhood I will go ahead and admit this review will be biased. For fans of the Presidents of the U.S.A. this will not be a disappointment as they still know how to rock and the songs are still fun, with light hearted lyrics. Truckstop Butterfly with it's upbeat bluegrass music, Flame is Love with a sort of swingin' sound, and Deleter with Fysah Thomas' soulful vocals and The Love Lights Horn Section leave no ground uncovered by the Presidents on this record. Although other contemporaries like Lit and Everclear just don't have the same thing going on the Presidents have which is why no one gives a shit anymore. I think it is also important to point out that the real presidents would not be able to rock like these guys (not even Mike Huckabee, who may not have made it to president but is a jackass that plays in a rock band). 2008 looks like a good year for folks who like to rock with British Sea Power's release being far more rock oriented, the recent Supergrass release, and this. - Takomora
