New Beck Song

"Chemtrails" is the first single off of Beck's new album (tentatively titled Modern Guilt). In a recent Rolling Stone article, he said the album would have a "late 60's psychedelic vibe". The album was produced by Danger Mouse and there's a rumor going on that it will be released sometime next month.

This is Ivy League's New Single

This is Ivy League is the project of Alex Suarez and Ryland Blackinton (both members of Cobra Starship). Their self-titled debut came out this past month on twentyseven records and I have been listening to it non-stop; I highly recommend it, it is a great record. They have chosen "The Richest Kids In Town" as their new single. If you're a fan of Kings of Convenience and Belle & Sebastian, you should check them out. -Tinasucks

New Video: Portishead "Machine Gun" [2008]

No one can tell what the next cyberpunk nightmare will be like. You can’t predict any of the forces that will break the next hole in your mind-wall, that outside shell that keeps bad trips away; you can’t expect what you don’t know. Pixelation, though lately becoming fashionable and even lovable, may render your heart to pieces if you don’t take care, if you keep waiting for the next beat (bit) to come up before you wake up. Night is not a good companion for lonely cybernauts who, living in that static, blueish black-and-white quality video world, feed on new music and post-beat literature; yet, if you keep coming back to the same places, if you remember what made you what you are now, it is possible that you'll find something that, even tearing apart half of your OS, might give you some hope and perspective, maybe show you a sunny spot for you to drink your coffee in the morning.- postbop
